Maria Bruno grew up on a farm on Eastern Long Island surrounded by her loving family, humans as well as the four legged. Her love of animals, especially dogs and cats, has propelled her to create, along with Michael, the charming world of Lili and Derek. She lives in Manorville and Southampton, NY.
Michael Paraskevas is an author and illustrator living in Southampton, NY. He and his late mother, Betty, are the creators of Maggie and the Ferocious Beast for Nickelodeon. He is the illustrator of twenty-five children’s books and has worked for many major magazines around the world.
